Robbie Rogers

I'm not a big fan. He's capable of some good service from out wide but I just don't think he's good enough to play in England. He stays on the fringe of the U.S. national team solely because he's basically the only true winger in the player pool. There were a lot of raised eyebrows when he was included on the Gold Cup roster.

So he's crap but he still gets games because there are no other wingers available at all? Perfect for us then.

Moments of brilliance followed by frustrating inconsistency..

He plays club ball for my home team so I like him, but he's way to inconsistent.

I love Everton and I love the Crew. I do not love Robbie Rogers playing for the Crew. After the summer he will be out of contract. He has great pass but poor, crossing, and combination play. I hope he never suits up for Everton.

I wouldn't want him in Royal Blue, that's for sure.. But to say he's not good enough for crew? bit OTT.

Welcome to the forum btw.

I mean I don't like him for Everton. I barely like him for the Crew right now. I won;t be sad to see him leave in the fall

Long time board lurker first time poster.

No. Doesn't have the technical know-how. Shouldn't be on the USMNT right now (Timmy Chandler's 11th hour replacement).

He's fast... lol. I think one day he may be good but he is inconsistent. He has the tools but he doesn't know how to use them all of the time. He is nowhere near good enough for the EPL. If I am not mistaken he has barely been playing for Colombus.

A lot of people thought that he shouldn't have been called up for the USMNT for the Gold Cup because he wouldn't be good enough to play against Canada and Panama etc...

Everyone else already said it.
Fast, inconsistent, frustrating. Not ready for english football, much less Everton.

Never would have made the world cup squad had Charlie Davies not gotten injured.

Good prospect

The kid is very fast and is equally left footed and right footed. He plays both wings and also plays left back in a pinch. Opposing teams tend to play down the other side of the field because he is difficult to breakdown. He would benefit from some decent coaching to further develop his football knowledge. I would compare him to Holden in terms of potential. Currently he is having a decent year with his club team. Bradley should be playing him more at the Gold Cup. The second half in the Panama game would have been an ideal time to play the kid. Lots of space, a tired defense on its heels. He came on against Costa Rica under similar circumstances and was involved in both goals that resulted in the tie that allowed the USA to win its group in WC qualifying.

I will add to the not ready comments. Has the tools, just has not figured out how to put it all together. He needs better coaching to get better. If he were brought to the EPL he would be a project. If he was cheap and a coach put it all together for him he would be worth a shot in my opinion. That's a lot of ifs though.
