According to the bookmakers we are 4/6 favourites to sign the Irish superstar, over taking Leicester for his signing according to reports.

Steve Walsh is a big fan of his as well, rumoured that the fee will be in the region of 15 - 17.5 million.

Diabolical signing if true and if this is a sign of things to come we have every right to be concerned. So much for the new found wealth; signing relegated players!

In principle I wouldn't be too displeased with this as he's looked good when he's played, but I'd certainly balk at that kind of fee for his services.

Yet, with Baines not getting any younger, Oviedo now apparently disliked and Garbutt still pretty untested it isn't our strongest position any more.

Baines, Galloway, Garbutt and Oviedo.. I'd say we're overloaded with options for the position.

He can play wide left and has played in a central role as well. Could see him playing in a midfield three.

Really good player. Lids on here will fume and the typical shouts of playing for a relegated side will come out.

He is a good player and would improve us.
