Essentially says that he didn't get support from his peers, shortage of referee's, yada yada yada. But he's gone, the lying rs toad.

You have to laugh at: "He's not hit the heights of a few years ago..." - WTF does that mean exactly? Bewildering.

Given the short supply of 'top flight' referees to choose from, Uefa should allow foreign refs to officiate our premier league. In fact, that's the way it should be: no refs in any of the major European leagues officiating in their own country. Surely that'd make sense from a non-partisan angle?

makes sense to me, but i'd be skeptical of the Norwegians reffing our derby

Probably a good idea, as at least you know the chance of him being strictly neutral increases. That said, still think the top four would get the benefit of doubt in any case.
