Sad times.

He used to run a hotel in Fort Augustus. My mate used to live in Inverness and a load of us used to take a minibus up there for his birthday every year and one time we thought it might be a laugh to call in on him and have a beer in his bar, and he turned out to actually be sound as [Poor language removed]. Got the beers in for us all, and spent the afternoon showing us round this old monastery he'd bought on the shore of Loch Ness which he planned to convert into a hotel/tourist attraction. Nothing ever came of it and he ended up selling it, but he was a top bloke.

RIP Terry, and cheers for ales and that very random day in Fort Augustus.

He was one of the major driving forces behind a renovation up on the banks of Loch Ness according to the radio up here so maybe it went through after he sold it?
