I really enjoyed his work with Isobel Campbell. Ballad of the Broken Seas was an absolute classic album for me. Wonderful voice, reminiscent of Tom Waits. RIP.
"I could see him as a kid in short pants on a bright sunny day, gleefully jacking his minuscule dick while frying ants under a magnifying glass"I love his description of Liam Gallagher. It's poetic. He was a good writer.
Think I'm gonna have to buy that book.I love his description of Liam Gallagher. It's poetic. He was a good writer.
If you're near a HMV - I picked mine up in there last year in a 2 for £6 dealThink I'm gonna have to buy that book.
Edit - Doubled in price, I'll wait a while.
There are many angles to go from, I remember him from Screaming Trees and Mad Season, he was a great friend of Layne. He outlived Layne by 20 years but I always wished they had done more Mad Season.Gonna chill and listen to some ML.
I’m not that familiar with stuff outside of QOTSA, or with Isobel Campbell.
Any recommendations of his solo stuff ?
