Sad news, from what my dad used to tell me he was a great player, I will mostly remember him for Saint and Greavsie and even that I just about remember as I was only a nipper at it’s peak

My pop had a lot of time for this fella as a footballer, and he hated most of them, so that will do for me.

Loved him with Jimmy Greaves on the telly as well.

Remember him well.

Although he played for Tranmere he'll mainly be famous for his lunchtime show with the great Jimmy Greaves. Had a good sense of humour and brought the best out of Jimmy, made a good team in an entertaining show.

Great memories of Saint and Greavsie banter on Saturday lunchtimes - although used to hate them for using the '85 Whiteside cup final goal in the opening credits.... R.I.P
