Obviously Coleman is first choice but who is second choice now? Has hibbert signed an extension (dont remember anyone mentioning him saying any goodbyes at the end of the season)?

Looking at our team, Stones and Browning could play there but not natural positions for them and also the young right back Kenny is still a bit young I imagine.

So I guess hibbert will stay another year or we will get a loan signing in and fast track Kenny to be second choice?

Stones is the back up for there, he's played there loads and has been good there too, calm on the ball, willing to go forward. Not a position to worry about.

Stones is more of a CB for me and hopefully he will claim first spot next season at CB, would like us to a proper young RB to learn from Coleman and maybe be a sub for Coleman in our many games next season.

By alll means he is more of a CB mate but he is more than capable of playing RB at a good level. It's not a position to worry about whatsoever.

I agree, Stones needs to be first choice centre back or worst case rotating for Jags/Distin. Him at right back would also negate our attacking options as full back as he would be far more defensive minded than coleman -- on the other side Baines has 2 carbon copy understudies in Oviedo and Garbutt.

I would imagine that Browning (as widely commented on this forum) also wouldnt be an effective player on the right and alot have stated he looks like a centre half playing at right back.

This only leaves Kenny who is u17 and although Ledson is on the cusp of the team it seems Kenny needs more time. I would expect either another year for hibbert or a loan for a year.

Was just wondering if hibbert had signed an extension as I think he was offered one. Strange if he hasnt signed yet.
