It is a cartoon about a mad scientist and his grandson going on wacky adventures. Most of the voices are done by Justin Roiland (Adventure Time) and it is written mostly by Roiland and Dan Harmon (created and wrote Community, I think). It's very very funny.

If you're into science fiction it's great, a lot of the best episodes deal with random hypothetical thought experiments and moral conundrums, usually to do with time travel. One of the best episodes is where their house gets invaded by mind parasites who create false memories so that the family think they have been in their lives all along. In one episode, Morty plays a game called "Roy", a VR simulation where he lives out the entire 70-80 year life of an average man called Roy.

I like it a lot. But such a wait after the 2nd series... grrr. I am looking for a new tv series to watch - anything like this, recommendations please.
