Player Valuation: £35m
And we go into the season with Kone, Niaise and a West Ham reject as our back up to Lukaku?

On the back.of a billionaire takeover and a shiny new manager?

Right now I'd have preferred taking a £15m punt on a Jordan Rhodes, Andre Gray or Danny Bloody Ings.

And Bony went to Stoke?!?

Heads need to roll for this shambles of a window.

Agreed. Absolute travesty.

I hope I'm not the only one carrying Kenwright/Elstone OUT banners to the Boro game.

That's terrible management imo if you want to sack people that have barely been in the post five minutes. As it is, I accept I'm no Football Manager god or anything, but this window seemed to be typified by players that barely anyone had heard of going for obscene sums of money. Only Pogba could really be classed as an established world class player that moved.

It might be important to remember that most strikers aren't going to want to come to Everton when we aren't competing for trophies and be put in a position where they are going to be restricted to mostly sub appearances because of Lukaku being a quality player. Add in the lack of extra games from Europe and it's not an attractive place to be a reserve striker

Sorry I'm certainly not suggesting either Walsh or Koeman for the sack. There are other far easier targets.

Yes some dross went for huge sums but not always the case.

Either way our strike force is woefully short of cover.

It's the same strike force that got 59 goals last season. Of course, if Lukaku gets injured we're in trouble, but sorting out the defense would do wonders to our league placing without touching the strikers. I lost count of the number of points we dropped from strong positions last year. Of course a new striker would have been good, but defense has to be the key area for Koeman to address.

I disagree mate. Having a half decent manager alone will do wonders for our defence.

Up front we are like a little parcel delivery firm hoping and praying our one and only van gets through the winter without breaking down. We might get lucky.

Time will tell. Hopefully other players will contribute more this year. Mirallas for instance is usually good for 10 goals a season, and I think Deulofeu has more goals in him too. Anyway, we have what we have. Lets see where it gets us.

Why do people keep going on saying we should have got Bony?

Maybe Koeman doesnt rate him?

It's a crazy idea I know.... I reckon if he did want him then we would have got him but obviously he didnt.

Because they didn't stop to think about it for more than 1.7 seconds before jumping on the club's back about it.

He's first choice there. Here, he's a back up striker to our golden boy Lukaku who plays every game and never gets injured.

Our net spend was £5m, the three promoted sides was Hull £13m, Burnley £21m, Middlesbrough £15m. Still behaving like a small club us.
