I know people who know him (oh dear - never thought I'd write that in a GOT thread - but it's actually true - same town, same age, same footie circles growing up etc...). He's a really good lad - just a few issues I'm told, so homesickness understandable - but real family man. His own lad is a promising goalie (and just about any other sport that involves a ball as well) finished his school term Friday - so RW probs wants to be back @ home with them all.

I was hoping this would be funny like Unsworth being told by his Mrs to move clubs but I actually understand his reasons.

He went a bit crap for us but he seemed a decent enough lad.

Am I correct in thinking not only did he play twice for England, but he also saved a penalty on his debut? Hang on, thinking about it didn't he actually concede the pen as well?

I always felt sorry for him, Arsenal once again snapping up a promising youngster before he was ready and then ruining his career!
