Revolution, new TV series on sky

Not sure when this starts on Sky 1, all I know is that it is soon.
Another one from J.J.Abrams',
Well it got me thinking that i'm sure i've seen something like this story before. Anyone on here remember a story that the Eagle comic book use to print when it was relaunched called "The Tower King"
Now i know the story is not being copied word for word but the idea of a world wide power failure does ring a bell
So can some one back me up on this or not?
