Don't know how swanky you wanna go, but I can certainly recommend the Hard Rock Cafe. I wish we had one here, Edinburgh's is top, too.

My knowledge of Manchester's restaurants is nowhere near my experience of Liverpool's obviously.

If you ever go for breakfast in Manchester, Koffee Pot is my favourite. I visit it every time when I'm around. Just lovely.

That's not a bad shout mate, I also went to Ocean Treasure 235 when I was there, you can book online as well

Loads of places to eat on Deansgate or printworks if your in city centre,mainly chain restaraunts like hard rock cafe, bella italia, cafe rouge Wagamamas,chiquitos etc. Not sure about any decent little privately owned ones.
