Depends if Jesus returns.
No one went to war over wearing the same lucky shin pads every game.
less wars with superstitions, never know anyone declare war on anybody for smashing a mirror or walking under a ladder.
plus you don't have state superstitions enshrined in constitutions ect
well that might be sooner than you think the signs are pointing to it being soon, a snake was seen coming out of the wailing wall in jerusalem a while back and the jewish religious leaders are talking about building a third great temple in jerusalem, the Babylonians, Romans destroyed the first two and it is foretold that when these things happen Jesus will appear on earth again.

depends how you translate armageddon, but it looks like he will not actually be born again but will appear to all nations in the sky and then will judge the people/nations of the earth before it ends.
i am alright though as god likes me, i am a angel earthbound in human form only for a temporary span of time.

Religion is 2 things:
1. A way to explain the unexplainable (why did my baby die, what are those shiny things in the sky, why have the crops failed this year). Science has pretty much knocked this on the head.
2. A way to keep the poor in check (You'll get your reward after you're dead, rich men won't go to heaven, God will provide, all things happen for a reason it's God's plan etc). Hence the church of England and the Tory party being intrinsically linked.

I'd quite happily see anyone that starts spouting and preaching religious bollocks lobbed into the middle of the ocean. Start with the preacher that stands outside my office a couple of times a week shouting about how we're all going to hell for our sins.
