Yes, we are above them. Yes, we probably do have more resources and yes, we are (somehow) 7 points above them. My point is that we don't deserve to be. Palace are, if you compare our last 2 games (abject defeats at Watford and Burnley) with Palace's last 2 games (gallant and narrow/late defeats to Spurs and Man U) a much better team, who make much more of their smaller resources, fight for each other and believe in the manager. How much of that is true for us?

Palace have an excuse for being near the bottom, we have no excuse for the debacle that this season has turned into.

The first step on the way to fixing a problem is to admit that you have one. Everton have major problems to address.

Of course we do, and i'm not arguing against that.

If you're saying who is making the most out of their resources then fair enough, Palace are, but I don't think you can say they are a better team than us. They were also at home in both of those games which is different. But even if they are better than us in those types of games, results are what matter and when we played them 3 games ago we ran out clear winners. They couldn't beat us at their home ground, or in the game before that where we beat them and for them to be in the position they are, they mustn't be showing this organisation and fight you refer to in every game.

The League Table doesn't lie.

True enough, but there is something sadly lacking from boardroom to tea lady at Everton, that Palace demonstrated in abundance last night and in their previous games.

..I think we were 7 points off the bottom 3 before these latest losses, and I think we’re still 7 points off the bottom. That delta is important but if we stand still the others will catch up. Palace and Stoke need 3 wins at least to stay up, another victory should put is in relative safety but we need to be getting that ASAP.

Whilst it feels like squeaky bum time I think we prob need only 3 more points to stay up. The points total for the 18th places team last few seasons has been around 34 points. Unless we lose every single game (wouldn’t put it past these spineless biffs) we should be ok.

I am inclined to agree with you.

Unfortunately I can see BFS targeting those 3 points with 3 draws rather than a win.
