Reform chaotic transfer system for sake of English players - Dyke

Not a rich club though. We don't have the luxury of letting potential go to waste.

City can buy the 'next big thing' and let him rot on the reserves, filling their quota...surely you see the difference.

Yeah there's a difference between rich and big, but Spurs can't afford to let players rot and neither can Sunderland.

If Chelsea had any interest in keeping Lukaku we'd not get a sniff mate.

But that is entirely different story. chelsea didnt want him so the reason why a top young striker came to us is because he had played for us. Otherwise he would have never came to us and went to the highest placed club who put a bid in for him. So we didnt poach him as such, we were just daft or clever depending on how you look at it, to pay over the odds to make sure he was our player. We overpaid sure, never would have went for that much if it was wolfburg or juventus or the other clubs linked with him. But perhaps we made an impression on them last season, or they took a chance to fleece a club. either way glad we have him.

That went in a bit of tangent didnt it lol

"There are mediocre players that come and take squad places - those could be filled by young English players."

yes greg and the vast majority of them come from inside the EU which u cant do anything about so u are just chattin crap there mate.

And does this bugger think "mediocre" foreign players are keeping good English players out of teams?

The only English players being kept out of squads by "mediocre" foreigners are even more mediocre players.

Not sure a bloke who hammers UEFA for corruption then forgets he's been been given a £16k watch , which he left in the gift bag is the perfect guy to revamp the system .

Another faux reformer with his hand out like the rest .
