Red Dwarf X

It was alright, better than most of the 'comedy' on TV at the minute but it feels a bit too polished to be Red Dwarf of old. I pulled up the rest of the series preview from Damonpedia for those that are interested.

I get what you mean with teh 'polished' comment. The problem is, it has to be polished, otherwise Producers wouldnt allow i to go abck on TV. If you change th set back to the oldern days, then todays episode would not be Billy'd in the way half in one camp half in another.

An english mate of mine was going about this yesterday and I had no idea what the feck was it.

What the feck is it you bad british weirdos?

With hd telly now you simply couldnt have the old shoddy set without making the program look like a cheap low budget remake

Apparently it was a big success last night, ratings wise.

1.5m watched it on Dave, which is massive for them (three times what their shows normally get).

It doesn't sound much, but it beat Channel 4's Hotel GB in the same time slot, and also had more viewers than Celebrity Juice on ITV2.

Next week will be the real test, if it gets good ratings again, then it's a success.

Used to be one of the funniest shows ever but it's been too long since the last series, doubt i could get back into it again. Ain't seen the new one yet, will wait till all the eps are out then skip thru to see what it's like.
