Recommendations for Backup Drive for a Mac Laptop?

My girlfriend has a MacBook Air and doesn't utilise it's full capability. It's more reared to multimedia purposes but she only wanted it because its the thing to have. She has an iPad as well and she very rarely uses both.

I haven't got a mac so I can't answer your question. I was goin to get one years ago and put pro tools on it, I still might when I set up my home recording studio. I'll have to make my room sound proof as well. I don't want my Dad shouting up to me asking if I want sausage on toast or a glass of milk. It would ruin the recording.

Don't you find the toast being burnt doesn't compliment the sausage as it takes away its taste and doesn't fit swimmingly around the sausage?
When it comes to bacon I prefer buttered brown bread.

Do you use Time Machine or have your own backup system? Any external HD with enough size should be good as a Time Machine backup.
