Now lads and Lasses,

I am off to Somerset next week and would like your personal reccomendations of the above if any.

I am aware this will open doors to many a piss take , but I am clinging onto a slight hope one or more of you may have a serious suggestion:lol:

I live in Somerset. Ciders to look out for: Orchard Pig, Rich's Farmhouse, Perry's, Heck's, Broadoak Bee Sting Perry, Black Rat, Jack Ratt.

Ales: Milk Street Funky Monkey, Butcombe, Dawkins' Brassknocker, Bath Gem, Blindman's Icarus Ale, Milk Street Elder Fizz - an elderflower brew more like a lager than an ale, but bloody lovely. Otter ale (from East Devon), St. Austell tribute (Cornish, but you get it round here quite a bit).

Milk Street is a microbrewery based at my local, most of their brews are pretty ace to be fair. Funky Monkey is the pick of them though.

Not really in to Cider but I had a pint of that Thatchers Roydo mentioned on draught up here in The Monro on Duke Street a while ago. Not bad at all.
