The smell of smog, I miss it, not that it's endearing, but it's English and there's not a chance of it building up over here.

We did away with 'smog' along with the poorhouse and kids up chimneys a long time ago, (although the latter will be making a comeback soon).

What I like about the uk is it's sandwich culture. You get such a variety of ace sandwich fillings and types. You really notice that when you leave the uk. Germany's attempts at sandwich making are pitiful.

Same goes for pies and pasties.
