With the young players we have, the team could grow into an astonishingly good side. I think that Lukaku, Stones, Barkley, Deulofeu (presuming he signs) and McCarthy all have the potential to be world class. I have no doubt that Stones will get there, but with the other 4 it is very much touch and go. If they do start fulfilling their potential I think that top 4 is achievable. However, if they don't, could be another miserable season. I think Martinez is gambling on these youngsters. Its exciting, but is also a massive risk given the season he just had.

I'd like to see Besic used more and Barry used less (or more sensibly). I believe a decent run in both cups and a top 6th/7th finish would not be an unreasonable ask. Anything to give us fans something to get excited about would be nice.

Realistically, we won't know until the transfer window is shut. At this point, I'd say finishing 6-7 is as good as we can hope for.
