Phil jones at united is without doubt having an outstanding season and he is only 19, if i remember correctly he came from blackburn?? where he would have obviously been playing first team footballl.....in my opinon if your good enough your old enough.

It's easy to look decent in a team full of rubbish, and although he has settled at Man U quickly, lets see how he does over the entire season (also remember he's being played because certain others are out).

Sharpy on the phone in nailed it, it isn't the time to be risking the kids. We had 8 internationals on the field... etc.

Blooding kids when the support is so p!ssed is not a great idea. Development - not execution.

Giggs was playing at seventeen and he's playing into his eighties it looks like. I said when we signed Neville that he is a decent fullback but I never want to see him in midfield. The fact that years later he's still getting a game in the middle makes me sad indeed.

I would love Ross to get decent time to up his confidence. I know folks want him as a starter, but since Moyes subs at minute 60, I'd love Ross to get some time subbing in to up his confidence, know how and just get him comfortable. Nothing to do with not playing an 18 year old, everything to do with setting him up for success. Get him comfortable, watch him grow. Have him freak out starting, shoot yourself in the foot.

Now if he does well in a few games, he becomes a starter. He doesn't do well, keep subbing him in to see how he adjusts. He's earned enough to at least get some game time, especially with Cahill not looking so hot.

I don't want him dropped like a hot potato like we saw earlier this year.

So...game time: yes.
Starting (as of now): no.
