Reading vs. Arsenal

Watch out for Martin Keown's son Niall, he's just broke into the Reading first team..........think he's declared for ireland in his international career.........well under 21's so far...........................(I know,I know)

I was at this game, and at 4-3, We started to head down the stairs expecting the full time whistle but my mate told me walk slowly as he thought we would equalise.

I thought we were spent at 4-3, then Walcott/Jenkinson scores, cue pandemonium in the stands and on the steps. The knobhead that left after 37mins should have stayed at home.

It was an awful game defensively from both teams. I'll never understand why Reading didn't just shut up shop. They might have held on if they had, talk about naive.

The train back to Paddington was a very merry one. Although the high of that night was wrecked a few weeks later by a 10hr return coach trip to Bradford, ending in a loss on penalties to a league 2 side. Just before Xmas as well:(

Just remembered a few of our daft new foreign players, Giroud and someone else I can't remember who, started chucking their shirts into the crowd at the full time whistle....daft lads. Amazed no one had told them it was a cup tie or that there were no replays:oops:

That game summed us up for a few seasons brilliant attack and Sunday league defending. If I had a heart condition, think I'd stop watching us on nights like that.
