One of my favourite things is putting a good album on and reading a book. I can waste days doing this when I've got time.

I haven't had much time to myself lately but had Sunday off. Got a boss book about arms dealers & the illegal arms trade and started going through my collection for something decent to listen to.

Eventually landed on their self-titled second album. I forgot how utterly superb this is. First few listens I didn't really like it. I normally like my music full of energy and riffs(unless I'm raving or shaggin) after that it grew on me to the point I must have listened to it every day for 6 months.

I can't believe they're not about and one of the biggest bands in the world.

One of the best albums of the last decade for me this!!!

Johny Burrell is the only original member left, all the other left the and because they hated him.

He always did look like he was full of it though. Was impressed when seeing them live, considering i was not a fan of them.

He did always look a bit up his own arse. Then again pretty much every front man of every decent band ever has been.

they were a fad made alot of money helped along by being played constantly on radio and generally talked about. Paid off their mortgages and a bit extra then got out before everyone realised they were infact just another twangly guitar **** band

Don't sit on the fence, tell us what you really think...

Haha, bit harsh. That album is as good as anything else about IMO.

Sadly, Ste mate, Michael is spot on here. Razorlight were one of many at that time who filled the genre and type. They were a little better than most of them, but bands like them and The Kooks were never going to last.

And Johnny Burrell was and probably still is a nobhead

I agree they fit that indie skintight jeans & a bit of a [Poor language removed] stereotype but musically the first two albums were miles ahead of the likes of the kooks, Keane and the other bells knocking about.

Razorlight the album will still be worth listening to in 20-30 years time IMO.

It's all opinions mate. There's no right or wrong.

I didn't mind Razorlight at the time, but almost definitely won't be listening to them in 30 years time.

I saw Razorlight at The Railway in Winchester before their first album came out, and you could tell they'd have some success. But you could also tell Burrell thought he was better than he actually was.

I am, however, utterly boss as America on singstar.

Saw Johnny Borell a couple of years ago by accident at Leeds o2. Walked in smashed and was like, isn't that the dude from Razorlight up there? Enjoyed it!

Dont know how you can listen to music whilst reading lad

I need complete silence or I struggle to cons............................................................oh look a dog

Great 1st 2 albums (Somewhere Else is one of the best singles of last decade too - although that's not saying much), absolutely abysmal 3rd.
