He was way ahead of his time as an overlapping attacking fullback - he was quick to mark out a winger, and play the ball out!

....interesting that many of those great full-backs were converted wingers, including Ray Wilson. I genuinely think it’s a consideration for many ‘wide players’ who fail to make it to the very top. Manchester United have converted a few wingers to full back, but it should be exploited more.

We've had some great full backs over the years. When Bernard brought down that long punt instantly on his boot I remembered the last time I saw that at GP...it was out full back George Thomson...another product of the time when Scotland produced great players....Bobby Collins, Alex Young, GEorge Thomson, Alex Scott,Alex Parker, Tommy Ring and many more.

I wish we would have had Raymo Wilson five years earlier he was imo world class....
