Player Valuation: £30m
I'm convinced this guy is the most overhyped English player ever, he's done **** all bar one good goal against spurs and that was more down to Dawson being gash.

United fans seem to think he is in Rooney bracket of class.

I'm not buying it

But what's he actually done so far ? Absolutely **** all. You just hear people saying he's boss in training.

Looks good in the admittedly few minutes of football I've seen him play.

Defo talented. Long term he could be a Theo Walcott, could be a Jermaine Pennant.

Will surely never be in the Gerrard/Rooney class of English player though.

I've seen three this season and he did **** all in all of them apart from crappy deflected goal against us

He's very bright on the ball tbf to him. He's got more of a brain than a Walcott or a Pennant. Classy operator who has the ability to do a lot with his career. He could equally flush it down the toilet or remain at West Ham forever though.

He is playing in a team of Cloggers, with Kevin Nolan as the lone striker !!!

He would look brilliant for us.

He was decent at best against us, did nothing particularly memorable.... Certainly nothing to back up the claims of him being the most naturally gifted English player in decades.

Oh but he did a back heel volley in training once !

Goal against spurs was good but Dawson's defending was mindbogglingly bad for it.

Given the hype around him he should be getting motm every game and be scoring a goal very game.

Bet in five years time he's playing in league 1.

Fairly sure any bookmaker would love to take that bet.

I don't know why people have to criticise a player being 'overhyped' and then take it in the complete opposite direction and make them out to be crap when they're clearly not. Sort of devalues the argument.
