Mouth of Martinez

Player Valuation: £750k
I would of thought something similar would of been shared by now; but may aswell do it now

Howard: 6 - not a harsh criticism of him, he didn't have a save to make all game. Distribution was okay, punts were a little wayward but didn't do much to worry us while playing around at the back, not sure he would of saved Bony's first half attempt of it was on target mind

Coleman: 6 - a strange game for him, was very eager to get forward and try to make things happen but it's apprant he doesn't run riot with McGeady in front of him

Alcaraz: 4, bittersweet if I'm honest, looked very nervous against a big striker and no doubt would of struggled all game if he didn't get injured but hey ho get well soon antolin

Jagielka: 8 - superb showing, Bony and Gomis are firmly in his pockets, read the game well and stopped Bony holding up the ball for the majority of the match which contributed to us having constant pressure

Baines: 6- not his best display, not by a long way, did well defensively but didn't have that outlet on the left

Barry: 7- experience was vital today as he seemingly slotted into CB and played very well even if he wasn't troubled, even ventured forward a fair few times

McCarthy: 9- head and shoulders above anyone else today, covered enormous amounts of ground and stopped any of their midfield get any meaningful momentum, was also a noisy so and so when the ref was having a bit of a mare

Barkely: 6- finding his feet still it seems, very eager to push up and make things happen but most the time he ran into trouble, promising display which shown his desire to attack

Naismith: 6- frustrating to watch, nothing came off for him today but he worked hard as usual

McGeady: 7- somewhat of a surprise selection, but looked our most likely in the first half. Very talented player, I just wish he had the decision making to go along with it

Eto'o: 6- Unfortunatly not even close to the level he shown last week, I don't believe it's entirely his fault as he was trying different things to get people involved, it just didn't work, he didn't get a clear opportunity to get a goal either

SUBS
Besic: 7- very impressive, covered a lot more ground then he usually does and made a big impression, didn't let that kopite settle and wound him up (which worked)

Pienaar: 6.5- tried very hard to make things happen, was left with no choices at times and had to fall easily to gain free kicks, should of started for me

Lukaku: 6- he tried, not much more we could ask for, he didn't get enough time or opportunity to do anything substantial until the last moment of the game when he didn't get his foot out quick enough

Martinez 7 - largely the right team, he doesn't seem to want to drop one of Naismith or Barkely, but really don't think they suit eachothers game.

What an idiot, your hatred toward Alcaraz is so unwarranted and obvious. You are like the other people posting how Alcaraz is a waste because he is so injury prone. He got absolutely walloped by Bony, 100% not his fault.
