I have a dark side, It's hard to admit but there are family photographs of me as a kid in a Liverpool kit. In my defence i was brainwashed and didn't know any better. Eventually my brain evolved and i came to the conclusion that I was not happy and change was needed. I felt drawn to Everton, even though the RS were winning everything in sight in the 70s and early 80s. Admittedly i got lucky, a coupla years later Howard Kendall was appointed manager, the rest is history.

If you were born to a RS cult and escaped their evil clutches now is the time to come clean. Your sins will be absolved.

My Uncle was a big Man United fan, so I'm sure there will be a picture of me in my youth wearing something United related.

He went off them quite a bit that season they refused to play in the FA Cup, so I was left to cultivate my Everton love after that. He tried though, bless him

There are pictures of me as a 2/3 year old in RS/City/Arsenal/ Sweden shirts. Thats what having uncles from around the country does! But as soon as I was old enough to think for myself i was a blue

My mrs family are mostly Man Utd fans and they decided it would be funny at one of their big family gatherings to put my son in a Man Utd jumper whilst I was out of the room. I came back in and they were all chuckling away to themselves, then I spotted what they had done.

I marched over to him and whipped it off of him, almost taking his head with it, and threw the jumper across the room and gave them all a look that suggested they were about to be massacred, they knew I meant business. You have to be vigilant and not give them the slightest hint that they can sway your kid one way or another, plus most of them are cun*s so it prevents them trying to converse with me.

My dad is a Red and used to take me to many a game, most memorably the Fowler 4.5 min hatrick and the day Blackburn won the title. Used to have a couple of the RS shirts as well but I was drawn to the blue side when we were struggling during 93/94 and haven't looked back since. Only been back to the pit 3 times since seeing the light, when they played Barca in 2001 on my birthday, a mini derby during 03/04 and an England friendly against Uruguay when they used to take games on the road while Wembley was being done up

lol'd at this

My Dad supports Liverpool and went to Anfield a few times as a kid, but when I really got into footy all my mates were Evertonians and I supported Everton from the second I went into Goodison, it was boss.

glad to see you all seen sense anyway

there are some pictures somewhere of me in a full on neville southall goalie kit, 87-88 one I think

have to say lads, I looked fkn boss, fkn shinnies on and everything

I was 32 at the time

My brother's a massive Evertonian but switched to Man Utd after the 85 (?) Whiteside final due to most his mates being Utd fans, but thankfully saw sense after a season. Unfortunately i used to have his old clothes handed down to me so had to wear a Man Utd tracksuit for a few months, i still fart in his general direction to this day

Fortunately my Dad and his Dad and probably his Dad before him where all blues so I never was at risk of joining the dark side.

Whilst I don't have much to thank my arl boy for this is one of the few things he did right.

Massive credit to all the lads who grew up in Red households, I really can't imagine living somewhere with Liverpool tops and memorabilia scattered about the place. Went the pub last night and there's a framed picture of Steven Gerrard behind the bar next to a 'This Is Anfield' sign, that was uncomfortable enough for me, so well done boys.

My mum used to put red ribbons on my hair when I was very young in aid for the rs, and was bringing me up a red but my dad soon brainwashed my mum into a blue, she a massive Everton fan now and hate the rs. My husband was a rs when he was a boy as well, pictures of him in a Liverpool kit, he said he never really felt anything for Liverpool, he now hates the rs and prefers the blues now. I do know someone one who been a season ticket holder for 10 years and swapped his season ticket for Everton last year and now goes to all the Everton away games, the best laugh is he 40 years old, that what you call a late developer.

My Dad's a Red. His two sons are Blues.

hahaha.

Took the P*ss out of me in '86 and made me cry. I never rub it in when we win. We do things with dignity and class at Everton. He know's I'm laughing at him. He knows.
