Unbelievable. Loads of people just had their death warrant signed for them and they dont know it yet.

Commodify everything to squeeze out a few more pennies. I hope the **** who thought that one up is swept out to sea with only that spiv Bristow outfit between them and almost certain death.

They tried the same with the Coastguards, They wanted to do away with local coastguard station where we live which is an integral cog in the wheel of shipping in the Irish sea and towards Liverpool bay. They wanted to base a coastguard station at Liverpool and then one down in South Wales to cover the whole North West coast...ludicrous. How can you put a price on peoples safety and lives ?

I believe the UK mountain rescue are also a charity in the same way that RNLI are. I don't climb or sail, but you'd imagine if you did both of those things you'd be a regular donor. They too are 'private' bodies.
