Sad that. Hate the trend for privatising everything. This will end up costing the tax payer more in the long run.

what do we expect, the EU, unrestricted immigration, red tape, high unemployment, a £220 BILLION pound benefit yearly expenditure, a £12 billion foreign aid yearly expenditure, Bankers getting daft bonuses's and the Government robbing us blind every year we are ****ed unless the people vote the 3 mainstream clowns out they are destroying this country.

Add to that the EU is planning to close down our last few coal power gas stations whilst this country may face future energy blackouts having an estimated 2 day backup gas supply, yet apparantly we may have around a billion ton of coal beneath Swansea bay however the EPS will soon make it illegal for new coal stations to be built.

Only 3 clowns, isn't there 600 and something, plus all the council wallahs, the quangos, oh and the civil service.

coal powered power stations, my arse, they base the ' facts ' on old tech stations

New tech are just the same as oil fired, the coal ( solid hydro-carbon ) is ground into fine powder, essentially a liquid, like oil ( liquid hydro-carbon ) and the smoke scrubbers are now high tech, no more smog

but coal is demonised

This is another blow for workers on Anglesey where I live. In the past few years we have lost an Aluminium Smelter at a cost of over 500 jobs and which was a very good payer for basic manual work, around 30k a year , we have the Welsh country foods factory which is under threat of closure at the loss of another few hundred jobs, the Nuclear power Station at Wylfa has had more extensions than stephen hendry's snooker cue and will be the final nail in the economic coffin of this island.....and now they sell SAR. This has a personal effect for my family as my Brother in law is a technician on the Helicopters at RAF Valley and may lose his well paid job now...also my brother works on the RAF base.......luckily he is a liney with the jet crew but even that has been privatised now and they work for BRAHMA........ this country is only a few years away from coming to a grinding halt economically and it will go back to Victorian times .

I dont get how you can sell off SAR. I mean, isnt it part of the RAF still? And who would buy it anyway? No obvious profit margin or business model. The cost of maintaining the helicopters alone must be massive.

Am I being dim or something?

Oh Kurt, "Anglesey" was an answer in my cryptic crossword today!

feel sad about this dont know why , i dont go up mountains or sail but i would feel a little bit safer knowing that a price could not be but on me getting saved,

Unbelievable. Loads of people just had their death warrant signed for them and they dont know it yet.

Commodify everything to squeeze out a few more pennies. I hope the **** who thought that one up is swept out to sea with only that spiv Bristow outfit between them and almost certain death.

Navy / RAF search and rescue 'Give us your had mate, we've got you.'

Group * SAR 'Give us your credit card mate and hang on while we run a check.'

So sad to see how far into the grasp of the bean counters we have fallen.

How many of you fellas donate money to the RNLI?

I freely admit that I don't Bruce ...but for personnal reasons. The way they waste the money donated to them is absolutely criminal....I've witnessed it first hand. I have the utmost respect for the volunteers but the paid officers who cream expenses and free lunches ??? no thanks.
