Agree on Johnny Vaughan. I don’t know who his target audience is supposed to be. If I had to describe his ‘wit’ I’d say it’s highbrow for morons.

Way too generous. His wit is for tossers in the 90s who got the cool brittania vibe from new labour and still live there, with their mum and get off with a sloppy hand covered in eczema cream.

durham and gough on drivetime are horrendous …. I much prefer it when they are off and danny Kelly or cundy etc sit in for them

I always liked Paul King on 120mins. Donal Dineen on No Disco. Both shows of a similar time and genre, both presenters were very knowledgeable and let the music speak for itself. Nobody current really springs to mind.

I listen to podcasts my h more than radio now TBF, I do like a bit of James O'Brien of a morning occasionally.

Peter Allen, proper old school journo on R5Live. He doesn't do as much anymore but has a great balance of serious news journal, and wit. Big Spuds fan too.
