Radio 2 Steve Wright's "Big Show"

Anyone else can't stand Steve Wright's Big Show excepting the Golden Oldies (which he often spoils by singing along)?

Massive relief when he's away like this afternoon. Give it to Patrick Keilty on a permanent basis (or Chris Tarrant or anyone else for that matter).

Can't stand him, he's in my top 5 most hated people in media. He's such an obsequious a'hole and his sycophants are talentless oxogen thiefs. I stopped listening to radio 2 about 2/3 years back.

Also I can't stand Chris Evans, always banging on about his kid and his wonderful life it made me feel nauseous like I had morning sickness.

I liked Ken Bruce and loved pop master but he's stuck in a 5hite sandwich between Evans anything after 12.45 when Jeremy Vine has finished any topical and relevant news items.

I'm a 5 live man now in the morning, with either Absolute in the afternoon or sometimes TalkSport depending on my mood.

Steve Wright is an annoying cart. What I can't understand is that I used to really like his show when he was on Radio 1, i hate myself for it!!

radio 2 is turgid 5hite. Steve wright is doing stuff/style that he was doing 30 years ago, as for jeremy vine... he's with Alan Green on my want to punch in the face list. R4, R4x, and 5live is where it's at.

I don't mind him in small doses but the whole "THE DADDY IS HERE, IT'S THE BIG SHOW", followed by the do do do do dooo doooo dooo dooooooooooo music is rather irritating.

It's approximately one million times better than most stuff on Radio 1 though. Can't listen to commercial radio besides TalkSport personally.

Stealing a living now, as others have said he did this stuff on Radio 1 which was cutting edge at the time but now it's just dire. The non-entities co presenting echo every nuance and intonation like trained parrots causing road rage among drivers who don't turn the volume down between tunes.

Other than some Jeremy Vine and the surprisingly intelligent Vanessa Feltz standing in for him radio 2 is penis but then again most radio is.

Smooth fm is total utter dirge every single day.

I spend most of the working day when not working from home in the car and if i decide to listen to music it's absolute radio 90's. It's a pure mixture of " I used to pull one off to that video " to " I remember being smashed at a club / concert " listening to that.
