Hence why the director was 'massively in favour' of the whole thing, i doubt the copyright was given away for free.

I'm not sure if you're being serious or not to be honest.

Firstly, i've seen no proof that the director has no money, which you seem to have just decided to be true. Then you're making a leap and deciding that as a result he'd just give up his artistic integrity and approve something to make some cash (when it was his artistic integrity that made his last film a box office bomb to begin with).

And even if that is true, how would this have made him money ? It's the film studio who owns the rights to the movie, the director would have nothing to do with it other than putting his weight behind any idea.
 


Quite disappointed with the entire thing as a whole. The only track and scene I think worked was The 1975's one. The Bastille song was absolutely atrocious.

 
Failed experiment, but if anything this whole exercise demonstrates how important a soundtrack is to creating a film aesthetic. The original cut was bang on.
