Been watching "the first 48" over here and there's a few southern states that'll give you life in prison for being part of a robbery where a murder is commited, and also their life is actually life. Hate to say it but the south actually has some good ideas once in a while.

The English system has always annoyed me. Life for murder can end up ridiculously short these days for 'good behaviour'. Good job for not committing crimes while in prison, like that should be a f*ckin effort.

There's a lot of cases from the southern states of America that make me damn glad I don't live there too, though. Like the time a gay guy was trampled to death so that his body was literally unregonisable and then the cuplrits were found innocent on the basis that they were sexually threatened and so acting in self defense. Or the girl who got put into jail for wasting police time when she made a rape complaint against someone who turned out to be related to the local judge.

There's injustices everywhere, is the point. It's less systematic in the UK then a lot of places.

Disgusting to be honest.... you should get a mandatory ten years just for being in posession of a knife in my opinion....... you don't carry one unless you have the intent to use one.

Exactly. Never gonna happen though, since there's nowhere to put the f*ckers if they got sent down.
