Derby are an offshoot of the county cricket team - hence the name, I would go with Derbyshire over Murcia.
Quite a few wrong there
Just looked and Derbyshire was in the Saxon Kingdom of Murcia.
No argument with that, but think the Saxons weren't big on the old togger - think they were more of a beard growing, axe throwing, competitive pillaging sort of crew.

I know. But I was just wondering if Derby was in Derbyshire or if it was known as Murcia in 1988. I found out it never was because it had always been called Derbyshire and was actually inside Murcia.This is based on when the clubs were formed

I think this is a trick question, because of the county borough thing, where most of these places were their own administrative location.
Basically, Accrington Stanley are Lancashire proper. Stoke are Staffordshire, but the rest are their own administration boroughs.
