Question for season ticket holders

I'm thinking about buying tickets for myself and Junior and was wondering whether there was a problem with taking an adult in on the junior ticket from time to time.

Can I change the ticket? Does anyone check if I send an adult through on the junior ticket?

The lad won't make night matches and plays on Sunday, so I guess he'll miss 6 or 7 games. Unless I can take someone else on the ticket it hardly makes it worthwhile bothering.

The stewards don't usually check season tickets. Well i've never had mine checked.

I'm staying on 16-21 for life. Cba with Adult prices.

I used to work with a steward. They are told to stop people using Jr tickets. They can tell because the light flashes twice when you stick the card on or something. He said most stewards will turn a blind eye, for the money they get paid they cba with hassling people.

But from time to time they get told to clamp down and they are monitored, so they have to be strict. Basically its a lottery.

The light flashes a different colour so they know if it's junior ticket or not. If the adult you're taking could appear to be under 18 then you might get away with it but it does depend on whether the steward is watching or not. My mate who sits in the Park End has a ST for his daughter and he goes to upgrade it on the days she can't go to the match. You're only allowed to do that x number of times though - not sure how many.

Yeah, as mentioned, the light turns a different colour depending on what type of ticket has been used so it's clear to any watching stewards if someone is trying to blag cheaper entry using a junior ticket when they shouldn't be. I'm sure you can upgrade for a few matches by paying the difference but I've got a feeling there's a limit to how many times you can do it in a season

the upgrade thing should be available for all night games imo, including the cup ones so as they still get the credit, a game kicking off at 8'o'clock is too late for younger kids as it can go on 'til almost 11 if e.t , pens.

the auto cup scheme could be looked at tbh as the league cup is obviously at night but tied into the scheme with the fa cup.

With the auto cup scheme, you select which games you wish to attend. Its not a blanket Cup scheme. You select FA Home, FA Away, Carling Home and so on.

ahh right, with the homes you get a period where the seat is reserved anyway though, will prob sign up for fa away, they have a seperate euro one as well, and a euro travel one.

will the new europa league give more aways straight away ?

citeh have had about 8 euro aways this season, and not in the easiest/cheapest of destinations either, the uefa doesnt really give you the euro cities that are cheap to get too, sometimes but there are some out of the way places in that comp.
