Do you fight with your collegues over the degree of the air conditioner or whether to turn it on or off (rather windows etc) It happens constantly to us, mostly girls object saying it has become too cold now, so that only 25C or smth is tolerable, a lower degree well then they hate it and protest. It is not real fighting obviously, jokingly but still they mean it and go get the remote control lol

How is in your office?

try working outside in 30 degree heat being forced to wear a long sleeve hi viz jacket , hard hat and trousers and site manager actually expecting you to be able to perform as usual …

air conditioners ?? !!! pffffft

Our office temperature had the same problem as yours, Blokes wanting a proper working temperature whilst the women preferred to suffer in some sort of Tropical sweatbox.

So I decided, when the temperature goes anywhere near 22C, that I am perfectly within my rights to take off my T-Shirt and trousers and just sit around in my underpants all day.

The Temperature somehow magically never goes above 22C these days, problem sorted.

The problem is some people don't understand how air con works. Putting it on the lowest setting when it's hot, getting too cold so either turning it off or putting it on a much higher setting, and repeat.

Or opening the windows when it's on as well

Mine is at 17 degrees all the time. When people stay over in the spare room they have it at 22 degrees...i dont see the point at all. If you want it that hot just leave it off.

Girls always want it boiling hot...there must be something to do with mens/womens bodies as they seem to say its freezing when its just normal.

If its hot also people will be more relaxed and work less in an office environment...should be on cold.

The site manager would get in a world of trouble if you had an accident and weren’t wearing the required PPE/RPE, though.

It’s easy to blame the site manager but the pressure from above and fear of prosecution is immense at times.
