Noisy noise annoys

Player Valuation: £70m
Evening!
I have just dug out my old Quad II and Quad 22 amp and pre amp and cannot remember what is going on.
I intend to get them serviced they have been sat, dormant, for 15 years or so, but what then? Can I run my standard old record deck off them without some sort of DAC (I think this is a stupid question) what about speakers? None of my speakers are really suitable. What about other, more modern inputs, like a streaming unit?

Basically, HELP!

Thanks

Some fella told me about some search engine called google quite a few years back. Not sure if it ever took off like but if you struggle here mate you could give that a go. Long-shot I know.

Has the pre- amp got a phono input, for the turntable ?, why are the speakers unsuitable ? , you can use a streamer through the line level inputs. If you’re in the north-west get Mike Powell to give them a once over http://www.mpavservice.co.uk/

That is more like it, someone who understands how forums work.

From memory, yes,a phono input, so no need for any sort of DAC. As for the speakers, I have moved over to smaller speakers with subs, cant help but feel the Quad would be better suited to larger floor standers etc.

Thanks
