Puskas Award

Roach's goal is an excellent goal but it doesn't belong in this competition to be brutally honest. For me it's James.

Why?

If Giroud had scored that against QPR, you'd be jizzing yourself into 2015.
That's top level football though isn't it. The women's game is essentially a different sport, no idea how she got nominated. It's not like they can get nominated to compete against Ronaldo in the Ballon D'or and there's a good reason for that.

Yeah, but the Puskas Award is for the "Greatest Goal of the Year" (presumably captured on camera so it can be judged) so I would assume that it would be open to anyone in a competitive match played under FIFA rules or as part of an organisation falling under FIFA such as the Irish FA.

45,000 plus spectators at Wembley for the recent England v Germany match see the game as a game of football.

Personally, I find I get distracted watching the ladies play but I do admire Roche's skill
