Purple Kit - when???

Any word of when we'll be wearing the purple kit?

It took me a while to get used to the blue kit with the dickie like thing going. I have started to like it, only in that it is different.
BUT, have any of you watched "Christmas Vacation"? The Griswald cousin, played by Randy Quaid, brought back dickie memories, when I first saw Everton's kit. You have to admit, regardless of the history, the difference is that Randy's dickie was black with a sheer white Vee. replete with white shoes. Probably the most funny and popular christmas video in the states.
One curious thing, is that Everton seems to always play in that uniform. Do they have a second that I have not seen?
Hate to sound stupid, but it seems that in the states that there is a change of kit depending on whether the game is home or away.
Also if Everton is known as the Blues, then why Purple?

I thought we'd wear it in a Premiership match... Presumably that's not going to happen now? A bit disappointing to be honest, especially for anyone who bought one (which I didn't, thankfully).

Also if Everton is known as the Blues, then why Purple?

for the liverpool unites charity mate, red + blue = purple

you will notice that the r/s haven't either worn it or brought out a version with a bird on. for me the 2 clubs should've had purple change strips for the season.
