FA Cup run in Harveys first year as manager (87/88) in the days when replays went on forever.

4 games against Sheffield Wednesday in the 3rd round -> 1-1, 1-1, 1-1 then finally beating them 5-0 at their place

3 games against Middlesborough in the 4th round -> 1-1, 2-2, 2-1

then after all that lose 1-0 at home in the 5th round against you know who.

That 5-0 away to Sheff Wed was pure Everton.

Due to a crash on the motorway, nearly all the Everton fans were held up.
There was only about 50 of us there to witness all 5 goals in the 1st half.
All the space on the terrace and we were jigging and bouncing around like loons.

At half time about 5,000 Evertonians turn up.

"What's the score lad?"
"5-0 to us"
"No, really. What's the score?"
"Really. 5-0."
