Pundits and Martinez

I've noticed that Martinez gets little or no stick from the pundits which given our current situation is very strange. It's almost like pundits on the radio and television have been given strict instructions not to dwell on Martinez and to a lesser extent on Everton for too long.

Even the crown prince of Bell Ends - Mickey Quinn, quickly moves away from Everton on his Saturday and Sunday slots on Talksport. Adrian Durham does the same too.

I really can't figure it out at all. As others have pointed out, there's nothing they like better than a " big club" in free fall for them to get their teeth into. Yet they just aren't getting stuck into Martinez or Everton. ( yet )

Let's face it, Martinez should be such an easy target for them at the moment, especially with his insane refusal to change formations or tactics in the face of defeat after defeat, yet they just aren't laying into him.

My question is, why isn't he getting the criticism he deserves from them ?.

maybe they don't wanna speak to soon as we're surely winning the prem next season

how silly would they look then ?

I bet they are all happy men. They think Everton should be staying at relegation zone.

They're made up mate, we're finally in the position that the mainstream media thinks we should be in. Relegation candidates to mediocre outfit at best. Last season was torture for them because we did so well. Now they'll be raising a glass to Roberto for steering out ship into an iceberg.

The media don't care about Everton, Talk Sport need callers and they know they wont get loads of calls from Evertonians, but kopites in London ...etc will keep the station going.

They have been telling us we are punching above our weight for years, now its just a case of plucky little Everton being where they belong.

If you are listening to a non Liverpool radio station - 5 Live / Talksport etc, watch what happens when Everton come up as a topic. They move on quickly even of the caller is intelligent and has very valid points to raise.

Because they don't really give a monkey's about Martinez...or Everton. Same with Leicester, Burnley, Villa, QPR etc. Sorry to say, that is our level this season. Well done Booby

It's not like we need their "expert" insight anyway.

If they are going to patronise us, which they probably will do, I'd rather they don't speak about it at all.

It's because, unlike our kneejerking belters, they can see that the club are in a poor place but not a disastrous one.

That might change in the coming few weeks like.
