Pulis vs Poyet

Tbf, Poyet has had an amazing season. We had 1 point from 7 games and in disarray. We now have 38 points.

Bit harsh to say he has only had one good month when he has had several.
Well you're saying that and you have a point, but after those 7 games - 30-odd have passed and you have amassed about 30-odd points, so about a point a game...

Decent season, I suppose, but the last month is what you guys got the most from really.

Don't get me wrong mate, Poyet has done miracles, but so has Pulis and to a bigger extent.

I would put them on par with each other. True, that Palace have done fantastic to stay up and more. But, and I can speak from first hand experience, Don't under estimate how sackless our lot have been over the season. True, we have turned the form book on it's head in the last five games but before that we had lost 5 on the trot and in truth we hadn't turned up since the cup final. We were awful for the first 8 games and there was even talk on wearside that this lot wouldn't even manage to get more than the 15 pointers.

For Poyet to get that shower anywhere near safety is a bloody hell of an achievement and to a cup final to boot.

Had on time for another dance:dance:.

What makes it even more impressive if the players who have turned it around, as most are either not ours or out of contract.

Vito - Is ours and have a year to go
Vergini - Loan
Alonso - Loan
Brown - 106 years old
O'Shea - 102 years old
Catts - Ours but we by all accounts tried to sell him in Jan.
Larson - out of contract in summer
Collback - Out of contract in summer
Whickham - Never really had a sniff until 5 games ago
Johnson - Ours
Borni - Loan

Other than Vito and Johnson (maybe), the rest may not even be here next season. To be able to motivate that lot to do what they have is nothing short of amazing.

Not bothered who win's it or anything and of course just giving my point purely for debate purposes, oh and :drunk:

And we even have Jozy you know, so most games we played with 10 men:p

This isn't really of any concern for me I'm an Evertonian mate. I said Poyet has done well and that stands, Pulis has still done better because your club shouldn't have been in the position it was in.

However there are no givens(Shay withstanding) in football and so I'm glad you turned it around. In the grand scheme of things though mate NEA about Sunderland to be honest.

The Bald Eagle for me, even Di Canio kept Sland up before it all went nipples north. Let's see how Poyet does next season. If he can keep them going in the right direction is the real test. Remarkable run though.
