Pubs....

When I first came over for the game I loved the old local bars and the most basic the better. Pre game pints in The Penny Farthing was certainly an eye opener.

Now I have to find the family friendly bars so it kinda feels like seeing Liverpool through different eyes.

A good pub is like a good woman, something to savour and take your time over.
A poor pub is one where you nip in and out quickly and decide never to enter again.

Slates are meant to be on a roof, not for eating food off.

I pointed this out in a pub quite recently and got a similar response to yours ;)
Got a slate of food once. When I wiped the slate there was grey residue off it, so sent it back and asked for a plate.

Depressing to learn that Mitchell and Butlers own the following brands..

All Bar One, Browns, Castles, Crown Carvery, Ember, Harvester, Innkeeper's Lodge, Miller & Carter, Nicholsons, Oneills, Oak Tree, Orchid Pubs, Premium Country Pubs, Sizzling Pubs, Stonehouse Pizza and Carvery, Toby Carvery, Vintage Inns.. (total 1713 pubs, mostly in England)

So much for choice eh?
