Pubs in Liverpool

I'm up next Sat with a friends, what pubs do you recommend for live music and in Town.

Looking for older crowds, over 35s
Time between 4 and 10 then off home.

Any tips?

Celtic Corner is decent of an afternoon, obvious place is Mathew St but will be full of hen & stag do's.

Give the Lisbon a try. Can’t go wrong

There’s a cracker on the corner of Stanley St called The Lisbon mate. Friendly, good priced drinks. Head there.

The Ship and Mitre probably has the best selection of ales, Ye Crack is decent and if there are any Guinness drinkers try Pogue Mahone’s

What are you looking for? Sit down and talk with a nice point or a bit lively but full of people mostly in your age group?

We used to go to the Carnavon Castle after the game. It could get a bit crowded on a Saturday evening and it shuts at 10.30.
