Been driving all day, not proud of myself for that, but more of the fact the car runs like a dream and I've made a good purchase.

Side note - proud of the SO for passing her drivers tests in the last 3 days, now gotta go through the pain of bureaucracy with her...

Played 4 games of footy this week and I'm not waking up with legs of stone and aches in every muscle! Only a few months ago I was like an old man for a couple of days after every game.
Speaking as a man who IS an old man, and isn't far from requiring medical help the day after playing, what's your secret?

(please don't say it's exercise)

Well I turned 40 in August so I'm no spring chicken, but a few months back I started eating smaller portions and not eating late at night. Eating fruit and nuts in the office to stop me snacking. So I lost a few kilos that way and also stayed consistently playing twice or three times a week. I've got to have a really good reason not to play now as it's the only exercise I do! I noticed a difference in my stamina after only a few weeks.

Oh and warming up and down.....never really did it before. Now I run for 5-10 mins and stretch for 5 mins before the games and stretch after for a bit. If I don't have time to do that, I will normally notice it a couple days after the game with some muscle pain.

I organise a tournament every two months as well with 30 players.....going for 36 players in the one next month!

I thought that nuts were fattening.
