Hey guys after seeing the game yesterday, I realized it's seriously time for some change and a squad shakeup. I came to the Realizations that: 1.) Gibson is nothing special and he just adheres to Moyes gameplan VERY well(which is a good and bad thing). 2.) Neville's playing days are seriously over(the man can barely run and he ****ed up our offside traps, leading to two easily preventable goals), he gave us nothing at RB yesterday. 3.) Heitinga should be officially done as an Everton player, we should've sold him during the summer window and kept it movin. It's not that he sucks, it's that he's painfully slow. 4.) Osman is not a central mid, he's a liability defensively and he fits in much better playing behind the lone striker. 5.) We need a genuine striking threat, Anichebe is made of cheap glass and Jelavic has taken up permanent residence offsides. Since we dont have the money to get any A+ signings so is there any promising young talent that we have that will be ready to step up next season? If possible can you guys be serious about this and give me a position by position analysis of what we have in our Reserve/U-21 ranks?

GK - Springthorpe
D - Duffy, Bidwell, Garbutt, Browning, Stones
M - Barkley, Lundstram, Kennedy, Green
F - Long, Hope, McAleny

All good prospects in my opinion and hopefully will get a chance (fingers crossed!)

So you would say gibson is a better midfielder than Yann M villa, Joao Moutinho, Toni Kroos, Marco Veratti, Paulinho? He's brutally average. He's excellent defensively though.

*sigh*

Nothing special is used to describe an average player. Gibson is anything but an average player for us, the difference in our play is massive when he's in the team and he's been one of our best performers when he's not been injured.

Comparing him to a bunch of Champions League regulars and then saying 'see hes nothing special' is more than a bit stupid.

I was definitely aware of barkley, stones, and Duffy but have you seen those other guys play. I remember last year, we had a guy named Eric Dier on the Team, A central Defender, was he any good?

So you rate him with the top Mids in the world? Would he be a starter on any of the teams ahead of us or in the top 10 right now?

Yeah he would mate, have I missed something somewhere?

You do realise we've lost one league game ever when Gibson has played yeah?

One

One ever.

One.

And that was Sunday. At Man United.

You just proved my point, he's great for US. M villa, Paulinho, Veratti, and Moutinho are not UCL regulars yet they're in another league compared to Gibson. Veratti was an unknown up until a few months ago and Moutinho has only been at porto for 2 years and during those 2 years what exactly have they done in the UCL? He was a helluva bargain but, he's nothing special nor elite. If he was, He wouldn't be in Blue and he wouldn't have been so cheap. We need to give these young guys a chance because we don't have the budget to score a moutinho or paulinho and our biggest weakness is Depth. Young players don't get better by sitting on the bench, they need game time. I don't know if i can stomach another year of Neville in the squad period. We were just fine without him and Jagielka captaining us.

Why do you guys hold on to Stats like this? That means nothing, A team isnt made up of one person. It's 10 other guys busting their hump together to achieve the same goal.
