Really awful this, caught it earlier on teletxt and was shocked. Such a sad accident and preventable if modern technology is to be believed. Families, friends and fans must be griefstruck, thoughts and prayers out to all.

it's a great sport. people do care about hockey in the UK and it's very popular in north america, northern europe etc.

That overall average is bigger than Conference (BlueSquare Premier) football in England, above any domestic rugby union league below Guinness Premiership level, and on a day-to-day or monthly basis, is bigger than the number of people paying to watch County Championship cricket."

Aye, I'd love to see a Liverpool/Merseyside Ice Hockey team. The most local ones to us are Manchester and Blackburn. I refuse to support a Manchester team in anything and don't fancy the trip to either anyway considering I can't drive.
