Im sure I will get some pelters for this and I know some people are fully devoted to one or the other but........

I have been looking online this morning and debating if I should get Fifa 15 or Pro Evo 15. I have a PS4 so there was no Pro Evo last year.

I got Fifa, and loved how much Everton stuff was in there (with the Stadium and the 85 kit, etc) But I didnt like the new Manager Mode scouting system, so have been looking at Pro Evo instead.
Since around 1994 I have owned various versions of Fifa, Pro Evo and other Football games, I have generally leaned towards Fifa for the content.

The thing that has bugged me in the past is the Everton were not in Pro Evo, as they were unlicenced and refered to as "Merseyside Blue", but all the teams in Europe are licenced, as is the Europa League and Champions League (which are not licenced in Fifa), plus with Pro Evo you can download edit files for the Premier League with all that stuff on, which is easy once you have done it once.

Below are the links to the videos;

The demo for Pro Evo is out on 17th September and Fifa is 9th September, think I will download them both and see, before I make a final decision

There's a 2 month gap between releases this year so you could get both. I'll play Fifa for a couple of months and trade it in for Pes if I get fed up of it.

I really hope Pes comes back fighting this year. Last years game was knackered.

2k would make a good footy game if they were arsed. Obviously FIFA has the all important licenses tied up so it would be pretty much impossible for a third company to come in and have an impact. People love the authenticity of FIFA and I can't really blame them.

Both suck, and have done for many years..

Sensible soccer ftw!

I used to love Sensible Soccer, I had a European version on the Mega Drive in 95/96, with Everton in it, because we were in the Cup Winners cup. I loved it becasue you could edit all the teams, I spent two days editing all of the "random" teams like "The Jones" into the premier league and league one (championship) teams so I could play a league season with Everton on it.

It was great scoring a diving header or a curling shot from the half way line and watching the replay!

I have played a few old games like this recently and found that they dont play as good as I remember them though, so I am not sure I would want to play this again, it might spoil the happy memories for me :)

Yes definately do not go back and play them now! haha

Keep the happy memories!

Have'nt played a footy game since pes on the ps2 because its been utter turd on the ps3 but pes 2015 is looking very very promising from what ive heard and seen so if it is good then i'll get for the ps4,will be getting fifa 15 for the kids for both ps3 and ps4 but ive never been a fan of it myself, just could never get into it for some reason so fingers crossed that pes has come back to life this year;).

May or may not be getting a PS4 soon, so I'll hold on a FIFA purchase until I know whether I'm getting one or not

Spending a lot of money on a trip to Lille has left my wallett feeling somewhat delicate at the moment and I don't want to put it under too much stress too soon

I honestly think you could wait to December Jan time to pick up a PS4 and be happy mate.
