Done a week on remand in las palmas nick, gran canaria. It was sound. Footy in 35degrees for a few hours a day, champions league games on telly in the communal bit on our wing. Worst thing was the scran (loads of seafood) and being woken up at 630 am every day.

You would have no option but to handle it. Naturally you would adapt to it but i can't see how things could be much worse than being locked up. My ex brother in law (brother in law at the time he was inside) did 5 years in a federal prison, here in Boston and he regularly used to talk about how he would get involved in little incidents from time to time so they would put him in the ' solitary confinement ' as it was just safer. Day to day was all about survival..... its pretty much a mental game.
