CNN alone will have a team of roughly 400 reporters, cameramen and crew assigned to the wedding. The network has 50 people on the ground working on the breaking news in Japan, plus others scattered in Bahrain, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt. Ten cameras will be stationed around Buckingham Palace to capture the day's money shot—the royal family assembling on the balcony as Prince William and his bride share a kiss.

I still don't understand why anyone would care at all.

Then again, I try not to dwell on the media, or the thought processes of the general public, for too long. It just makes your blood boil, and it's not worth it.

Over the top. Even more so since those getting married, have said they wanted a relatively small event.

Is it me but the lad isnt the heir to the throne is he?

He's a sub in case his daddy doesnt perform when grandma retires

So it begs the question why the hell should we care?

The days of us poor folks doffing our caps at the royals are hopefully long gone.

1900 people Matt

1900 people in no way shape or form can this be called small, they could have course been a bit smaller if the 2 of them where meeting the cost and not the taxpayer

looking forward to the day off, only the [Poor language removed] in London will care about the wedding, and a few nosy wags in liverpool

Not to that many people it would seem......
Given the silly numbers of applicants for "street parties" i read a number of 16 one council had received i suspect many people dont really care that much, times have moved on since his mam and dads shindig 30 years ago and thank god for it.

After all we know how well that match up ended dont we.

16. But you do know how difficult it is to get permission for them? You have to advertise road closures etc

I for one will enjoy my day off and will enjoy a beer and toast to their happiness.

Let you miserable tits moan away whilst the rest of us enjoy ourselves.
